I ended up shooting the poor Courser in front of the refugees. Having the Courser with you (and he's protected during that quest) means that he will kill off the BoS (and RR heavies too - but they all disappear after the quest anyway so it's not like Bunker Hill is going to lose a few defenders in the future or anything), leaving the coast clear for you to make your decision at the end. ![]() In general the Railroad heavies wont be a match for the BoS or the Synths, so while it's nice to pick up a few Gauss Rifles from them I don't exactly want the BoS to stand victorious (even if I don't think they'll actually walk into the room and kill off the four refugee synths, but I never let them get that far). I need to bring him along because without him, the BoS will probably win without my intervention, and I really didn't want to shoot anyone. You're not the same faction, so it doesn't affect anything. ![]() I actually brought the Courser with me - since he's not your real companion, aggro towards him doesn't affect you, and nobody shoots you - the only relationship you have with him is that he follows where you go.
